Kay and Leonard Higley invite you to visit their turn-of-the-century home, furnished with period antiques. Stay overnight in one of five comfortably appointed guestrooms. Experience the charm of Arcadia, Florida, one of "The 100 Best Small Towns in America."

Whether getting away from it all or looking for a place convenient to Florida's attractions, the Historic Parker House provides a pleasant and comfortable home away from home. Each morning a variety of fresh fruits and juices, homemade pastries and muffins, and seasonal entrees are served in the formal dining room. Also enjoy complimentary beverages during your stay.

Historic Parker House was built in the late 1890's by Jasper Newton Parker, one of Florida's original cattle barons. Kay and Leonard have captured the elegance of that time with authentic antique furnishings and Victorian decor. Guestrooms also reflect the elegance and style of that bygone era. A suite of rooms share a sitting porch and bath, while the other three feature larger rooms, each with private bath, cable TV and telephone. Other areas of the house are open to guests, including the living room, dining room and veranda. A central cooling and heating system has been installed to make the house comfortable in all seasons.

All guests enjoy a sitting porch immediately off their room, overlooking the half acre of property and 100 year old oak trees. The Victorian Parlor awaits your arrival. A large collection of antique books and comfortable seating by the gas fireplace allows guests to relax and interact.

The Laughing Lizard Bed & Breakfast is a tin-roofed, three-story, Key Westy island home built in 2005. Located in the quaint island community of Indian Rocks Beach just south of Clearwater Beach in the Tampa Bay area, this casual B & B is a contemporary throwback to the cottage-style architecture that speaks to Indian Rocks Beach's roots.

Fifty-six windows offer an eyewitness view of the happenings on Gulf Boulevard, the main thoroughfare in a barrier island beach community termed by a USA Today article as "the best beach town of all." Creatively colorful and eclectic guestrooms - all with private baths - make beachlife as exciting indoors as it is outdoors.

In the morning, enjoy breakfast in Lizard Hall. Then, stroll across Gulf Boulevard for a walk on the white, sandy beach. Ride the local beach trolley to the nature park, historical museum, many wonderful restaurants and other beach destinations from Clearwater Beach south to St. Pete Beach. Sip a taste of afternoon wine and experience the sunset…maybe even witness the infamous "green flash"…as the sun finally melts into the Gulf of Mexico at the end of a perfect day.
